On November 18, Deepal officially launched its brand-new model, the Deepal L06, with a limited-time starting price of 132,900 RMB. Positioned as a midsize sedan, the L06 is currently offered only in a fully electric version, with a range-extended version to be introduced later. All trims come standard with LiDAR and an advanced driver-assistance system, while the chassis can be optionally equipped with the fourth-generation MagneRide magnetic-fluid active suspension system.
As a new sedan under the Deepal brand, the L06 features a redesigned exterior with a closed front fascia and a trapezoidal grille. According to the manufacturer, the headlight design is inspired by the Deepal logo, incorporating dot-matrix lighting elements on both the upper and lower sections. The L06 is available in five exterior colors—Sky Black, Moon White, Misty Grey, Silver Stream, and Cloud Purple—and offers official custom wraps such as Emerald Green, Rose Pink, and Ruby Red.
The L06 adopts a fastback body profile and is equipped with frameless doors, frameless side mirrors, and semi-hidden door handles, presenting a coupe-style appearance. The model showcased earlier featured 18-inch multi-spoke wheels and green brake calipers. In terms of dimensions, the L06 measures 4830/1905/1480 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm, placing it in the midsize sedan segment.
At the rear, the L06 is fitted with a full-width taillight design, with an illuminated Deepal logo at the center. The rear license plate holder is positioned in the middle of the tailgate, flanked by darkened “Changan Deepal” and “L06” badges. The displayed model also features an electrically adjustable rear spoiler with multiple settings, capable of generating more than 200 N of downforce at maximum deployment.
The L06 is equipped with the DEEPAL AD MAX end-to-end intelligent driving system jointly developed with Horizon Robotics. With standard LiDAR, 11 cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, the system supports highway/urban navigation assistance, parking assistance, and other advanced functions.
Inside the cabin, the L06 features the Tianshu smart cockpit with a two-layer central console and a display-only interface without a traditional instrument cluster. Key interior features include a three-spoke steering wheel, column-mounted shifter, AR-HUD, and a 15.6-inch rotatable “Sunflower” screen—the first to be powered by a 3-nm automotive-grade chip. The car also offers an intelligent voice assistant and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of performance, the fully electric L06 is equipped with a rear-mounted single motor delivering a maximum power of 200 kW and 290 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds. All versions come with CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, available in 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh capacities, offering CLTC ranges of 560 km and 670 km respectively.
According to regulatory filings, a future range-extended version will feature a 1.5L generator system with a maximum generator output of 72 kW and a 175 kW drive motor, paired with a 28.39 kWh LFP battery pack and offering an electric-only range of 180 km.
Additionally, the L06 can be equipped with Jingxi Intelligent Mobility’s fourth-generation MagneRide magnetic-fluid active suspension system. The system offers a response speed of 10 ms and adjusts up to 1000 times per second. Its magnetorheological dampers operate by replacing the conventional oil inside CDC dampers with magnetic-fluid containing nano-scale metal particles. When electrified, the magnetic field generated by the coil increases the viscosity of the fluid, enabling rapid and precise damping adjustments.
