In terms of exterior design, the Renault 5 E-Tech offers an all-new red body finish, gold-accented alloy wheels, and new decorative decals for the fenders and roof, available depending on trim level. The overall styling remains largely unchanged, retaining its signature retro-futuristic aesthetic. The trapezoidal LED headlights at the front end grant the vehicle strong visual recognition, while the rounded rectangular LED daytime running lights adopt a four-corner illuminated design.

For the interior, the vehicle features a subtly curved integrated dual-screen system composed of a full-size digital instrument cluster and a large central infotainment display. Complemented by a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and rounded rectangular air vents, the cabin exudes a refined, design-forward feel.

The new Renault 5 E-Tech replaces the previous MySense mode with an all-new Smart driving mode. The system automatically cycles between Eco, Comfort and Sport modes based on the driver’s behavior. For instance, it instantly engages the responsive power delivery of Sport mode during overtaking maneuvers; when coasting with the throttle released in urban and rural areas, it switches seamlessly to Eco mode to reduce energy consumption. As the physical Multi-Sense button has seen declining usage, it has been removed from the steering wheel. Drivers can still manually switch driving modes via the infotainment screen or voice commands.

On the powertrain front, the updated Renault 5 E-Tech achieves further range improvements through aerodynamic optimizations and fine-tuning of the battery and electronic control system. The vehicle is available with 40kWh and 52kWh battery packs, with WLTP-certified pure electric ranges upgraded from 312km and 410km to 315km and 430km respectively. In addition, the lineup will expand with the introduction of the "Five" entry-level variant, powered by an 80kW peak-output motor and paired with a 36.5kWh battery pack, delivering a WLTP-rated pure electric range of 305km.
