Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max & N70 Max Make Their Highly Anticipated Debut — Pre-Orders Now Open

On July 30, the long-awaited Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max and Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max made their official debut and opened for pre-sale. Xiaomi SkyNomad is not an independent sub-brand; rather, it is a standalone product line under Xiaomi Auto, running parallel to the SU7 and YU7 series, positioned as a "Smart Transformable Large-Space SUV." Specifically, the Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max is positioned as a flagship seven-seat extended-range SUV, while the Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 Max is positioned as a large five-seat all-wheel-drive extended-range SUV.

The event also introduced the Xiaomi Kunlun Technology Architecture, which encompasses the Xiaomi Kunlun Platform, Xiaomi Kunlun Super Extended-Range System, and Xiaomi Kunlun Comprehensive Safety System. The Xiaomi SkyNomad series will be officially launched in September 2026, and pre-orders are now open. Customers who pay a refundable deposit of ¥1,000 will enjoy priority production scheduling upon order confirmation, and receive a complimentary in-car desk with dual cup holders (valued at ¥999) upon vehicle delivery.

Vehicle Highlights

The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 and N70 share a largely identical exterior design, adopting an all-new styling language. The front lighting cluster carries forward the iconic cross-shaped design, featuring a dragonfly-wing-style daytime running light. The high beams offer an illumination range of up to 605 meters, while the low beams provide 180° ultra-wide-angle coverage. The lighting cluster seamlessly integrates with the front grille to form a unified full-width panel, with the "SkyNomad" badge embedded within. Four personalized trim options are available: brushed silver, gunmetal brushed, brushed gold, and perforated smoked black. The front bumper is similar to that of the SU7 and YU7, with a large trapezoidal air intake for cooling in the center and triangular ventilation openings on both sides. Three body colors were also unveiled: Mountain Green, Volcano Gray, and Butterfly Valley Blue.

Side Profile

The side of the vehicle features a short front overhang and long rear overhang design, with the A-pillar pushed forward to minimize the front-end functional zone, creating more room for the front row. The extended rear overhang provides greater cargo and third-row space. Detail-wise, the front fenders integrate perception cameras, and the vehicle is equipped with semi-concealed mechanical door handles compliant with the latest national standards. The exterior mirrors adopt the same floating design as the SU7 and YU7, and the doors support a nearly 90° opening angle. The N90 offers three 21-inch wheel designs to choose from.

Rear Design

The rear continues the SkyNomad family design language, with a three-dimensional star-ring tail light that offers high recognition when illuminated. A concealed exhaust layout is also adopted. Additionally, the N90 will later offer a factory-fitted rooftop tent version (Studio Edition), providing enhanced versatility for outdoor camping and similar scenarios.

Interior

The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max features an ultra-wide 1,530 mm dashboard, equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 20-inch heads-up display, and a 16.1-inch central control screen. It runs on the HyperOS cockpit system, powered by the Qualcomm 8650 cockpit chip. Super Xiao AI (Xiaomi's intelligent voice assistant) comes standard across the range, supporting in-car dynamic voice-zone interaction and exterior walk-and-talk voice control.

The N90 Max adopts a 2-2-3 seven-seat layout, equipped with a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a column-mounted electronic shifter. The front row eliminates the traditional fixed center console, creating an open pass-through between the driver's and passenger's leg spaces. Two interior color options are available: Mocha Brown and Sand Beige.

The vehicle also features a console cabinet with hidden storage drawers, styled to resemble a home entryway cabinet and finished with walnut trim. The traditional armrest box has been upgraded to an independent central island that slides along a rail, providing four cup holders, two phone slots (one with a 50W wireless charging pad), a 6.6L storage compartment, and multiple accessory ports that can accommodate add-ons such as a fragrance diffuser and Bluetooth speaker. The sliding island also houses a 9L drawer-type compressor refrigerator.

Seating

Thanks to the flat floor and extra-long slide rails, the two front seats of the N90 Max can rotate 180°, enabling a face-to-face seating mode with the second row. The sliding island can also be repositioned between the first and second rows. In face-to-face mode, the maximum legroom reaches 1.76 meters — enough for two adults to sit comfortably without their legs touching. The vehicle is equipped with four zero-gravity seats, with the first and second rows featuring standard massage, ventilation, and heating functions, and the third row offering heating. A 256-color ambient lighting system with diffuse reflection is also included.

A detachable multifunction table is available, which can be independently mounted on the floor rail or inserted into the central island cup holder. Both single-cup-holder and dual-cup-holder table versions are offered, with adjustable height and easy installation and storage. The second row features a 6.88-inch detachable rear control screen and a 21.45-inch rear entertainment screen. The climate system includes 17 air vents covering all three rows and the ceiling, with a standard full-function heat pump linked to a fresh air control system to ensure clean air throughout the cabin.

Space

The trunk offers a capacity of up to 577 liters — enough to hold seven 20-inch suitcases while all seven seats are occupied. With the third-row seats slid forward and cushions folded, cargo volume expands to 1,351 liters. When both the second and third rows are pushed forward with cushions folded, the entire rear cabin is freed up, extending cargo capacity to a maximum of 1,831 liters. The rear doors open to nearly 90°, and the smart electric doors support multiple opening methods including voice recognition, voiceprint authentication, and physical buttons.

Electronics & Audio

The vehicle is equipped with a four-in-one domain control module, featuring an efuse and Flyback advanced power supply system. Under Flyback technology, after the vehicle powers down, the sentry mode and refrigerator can continue to receive independent power. The vehicle provides 16 USB Type-C ports, and the trunk includes a 220V power outlet, supporting both in-car work and outdoor camping needs. The Xiaomi Star String audio system features 25 speakers in a 7.1.4 acoustic architecture.

Advanced Driver Assistance

The vehicle is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR, a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. It is powered by the NVIDIA Thor chip with 700 TOPS of computing power. Xiaomi HAD (Xiaomi's advanced driving system) with the upgraded XLA cognitive AI model comes standard across the range, supporting highway and urban navigation assistance as well as valet parking assistance.

Safety

The extra-long seat slide rails are made of 7-series reinforced aluminum alloy, with a maximum locking strength of 54,000 N and a maximum peel strength of 57,000 N, with no looseness after 15,000 cycle tests. The vehicle features 39 anti-pinch designs, triple-redundancy door handles, and dual emergency release handles on the tailgate. The body employs a 2,200 MPa embedded roll cage, with 16 locations using 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, and 12 airbags throughout the vehicle.

Powertrain

The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max is powered by an extended-range system consisting of a 1.5T range extender and dual electric motors. The 1.5T range extender is a deep co-development between Xiaomi Auto and Dong'an Power, delivering a maximum output of 112 kW. The dual electric motors produce maximum outputs of 210 kW and 100 kW respectively. It is equipped with a 76 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 464 km, with the ability to add 285 km of range in just 15 minutes. The vehicle also features a 60-liter fuel tank compatible with 92#, 95#, and 98# gasoline, achieving a maximum CLTC combined range of 1,705 km and a WLTC charge-depleted fuel consumption of 6.26 L/100 km. The chassis features a front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link independent suspension, with a 5-level adjustable air spring and continuous damping variable shock absorbers, achieving a turning radius of 5.95 meters.

The Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 is available in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor version delivers a maximum output of 210 kW, while the dual-motor version matches the N90's power output at 210 kW/100 kW. The N70 offers two battery options — 76 kWh and 52 kWh. The N70 Max achieves a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 505 km, while the N70 Pro delivers a WLTC minimum charge-depleted fuel consumption of 5.7 L/100 km.
