The BMW X5 Shadow Package has officially arrived in four trim levels. All versions feature the exclusive Shadow exterior kit and introduce a brand-new sea-blue interior option. Buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbo (xDrive30Li) or a 3.0-liter turbo (xDrive40Li) engine; both are paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The model will make its public debut at the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show in late August and reach showrooms across China in the second half of September.
Visually, the Shadow Package blacks out the kidney grille, front bumper trim, side-skirt inserts and rear diffuser, while the side skirts and rear-bumper diffuser panels are now body-colored. The xDrive40Li M Sport Shadow Package can be ordered at no extra cost in Frozen Pure Grey matte paint.
Dimensions remain unchanged at 5,060 × 2,004 × 1,776 (1,768) mm with a 3,105 mm wheelbase, firmly placing the X5 in the full-size luxury-SUV segment.
Inside, the new sea-blue color scheme complements the existing curved display that merges a 12.3-inch digital cluster with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen. Standard equipment includes an M Sport leather steering wheel, heated front seats, ambient lighting and the Driving Assistant Plus suite.
Powertrains • 2.0T (xDrive30Li): 190 kW (258 hp) / 400 Nm
• 3.0T (xDrive40Li): 280 kW (380 hp) / 520 Nm
Both engines send power through an 8-speed Steptronic automatic to BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
