The AITO M8 is built based on the brand’s "Kunpeng" design language, with a styling similar to the AITO M9 but differentiated in details. The new car adopts a brand-new headlight assembly that integrates chrome trim, daytime running lights, and high/low beam headlights, with the latest ADAS indicator light (small blue light) built in. In addition, the front headlight assembly supports intelligent interactive functions.
On the side, the AITO M8 shares a similar profile proportion with the AITO M9 and is equipped with semi-hidden door handles. In terms of dimensions, the AITO M8 measures 5190mm in length, 1999mm in width, 1795mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3105mm. Compared with the AITO M9, it is 40mm shorter in length, 5mm lower in height, 5mm shorter in wheelbase, and has the same width. The new car is optimized for aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.259 Cd. At the rear, it features a through-type taillight assembly integrated with ADAS indicator lights, a roof spoiler, and an "AITO M8" badge on the lower right of the tailgate.
Both 5-seater and 6-seater versions of the AITO M8 are fitted with 265/45 R21 Pirelli P ZERO Z tires of the same size. For color options, the AITO M8 has four basic finishes: Gold Black, Warm Cloud White, Starry Blue, Makino Green, plus three optional colors: Galaxy, Dawn Purple, and Night Purple.
Inside, the AITO M8 adopts a wrap-around cockpit design, with an overall style largely consistent with the AITO M9. The front cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central control screen, and a 16-inch co-pilot entertainment screen. It runs on the HarmonyOS operating system, supporting music playback, video viewing, voice control and other functions.
The AITO M8 is equipped with an AR-HUD head-up display system, which can show navigation, multimedia and vehicle driving data, and even play videos when parked. It also comes with a 19-speaker HUAWEI SOUND audio system.
The entire AITO M8 lineup is equipped with Huawei’s advanced driver assistance system. Hardware-wise, it carries 30 sensing components in total: 1 roof-mounted 192-line LiDAR, 1 high-precision solid-state LiDAR, 3 distributed 4D millimeter-wave radar matrices, 2 4D millimeter-wave corner radars, 11 high-definition vision cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The configuration of the European market version will be subject to the official announcement in the future.
In terms of powertrain, the EREV version of the AITO M8 is equipped with a 1.5T range extender. The maximum power of the front and rear drive motors is 165kW and 227kW respectively. The EREV Max variant is matched with a 37kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 201km; the EREV Max+ and EREV Ultra variants are equipped with a 53.4kWh battery pack, with a CLTC pure electric range of 310km.
In addition, the AITO M8 also offers pure electric models, available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions, powered by a 100kWh battery. The CLTC pure electric range is 655km and 705km respectively. Rokay will keep following more updates about AITO Auto.
