According to official news from Leapmotor, its large SUV — the Leapmotor D19 — has officially opened for blind pre-orders, with priority production allocation and faster delivery. As the first model built on the new D platform, the D19 is positioned as a large SUV and will feature LiDAR, dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips, and both pure electric and extended-range versions. The extended-range version offers an electric-only range of 500 km. The D19 is expected to launch in the first half of 2026.
The D19 adopts what Leapmotor calls the “Techno-Natural Aesthetics 2.0” design language. The front features a three-section through-type light strip, million-pixel DLP projection headlights, and a blue auxiliary driving indicator light. The front bumper integrates an AGS active air intake grille, while a compact LiDAR is mounted on the roof. The front fenders feature side-view cameras, and the vehicle is said to include a large-capacity powered front trunk.
The D19 comes in a Liquid Silver exterior color, with a through-type ISD intelligent interactive light curtain at the rear. It features a contrast-colored roof, flush windows, hidden door handles, a roof rack, 21-inch “Realm of Aspiration” wheels with 265/45 R21 Michelin tires, and a full-width taillight with the “LEAPMOTOR” logo centered on the tailgate. A roof spoiler and hidden rear wiper complete the exterior.
According to official data, the D19 exceeds 5.2 meters in length, nearly 2 meters in width, and has a wheelbase over 3.1 meters. It will be available in five exterior colors: Pine Green, Photon White, Liquid Silver, Sky Gray, and Metallic Black.
Interior images of the D19 have not yet been officially revealed, but spy shots suggest a four-spoke steering wheel with column-mounted gear selector, a floating digital instrument cluster, and a floating central display, along with a bridge-style secondary dashboard. The seats appear to be two-piece units wrapped in light-colored leather, while the interior door handles feature button-style operation.
Official information confirms that the D19 will come equipped with dual Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8797 chips, providing 1280 TOPS of computing power — enabling onboard AI cabin systems and VLA-assisted driving. Other luxury features include Nappa full-grain leather seats, zero-gravity seating, an in-car oxygen generator, acoustic privacy glass, and more.
The D19 will offer both extended-range and pure-electric powertrains. The extended-range version uses an 800V high-voltage system with CTC range extension technology and intelligent four-wheel drive. The tri-motor AWD setup delivers 400 kW of total system power, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in around 4 seconds, paired with an 80.3 kWh CATL battery offering over 500 km of pure-electric range (test cycle undisclosed).
The pure-electric version features a 1000V full-stack system, with the tri-motor AWD variant producing up to 540 kW and achieving 0–100 km/h acceleration in around 3 seconds. It’s powered by a 115 kWh CATL hybrid cell battery, offering a 720 km range (test cycle undisclosed) and over 350 km of range after a 15-minute charge.
The chassis features a closed dual-chamber air suspension with CDC damping, along with LMC 2.0 integrated motion control technology. Key functions include one-touch leveling, anti-motion-sickness mode, compass turning, stability under dual tire blowouts at 120 km/h, dynamic steering assistance, and predictive control.
Given its size, specifications, and expected price, the Leapmotor D19 will likely compete with models such as the Deepal S09, Geely Galaxy M9, and LeDao L90. In addition to the D19, Leapmotor also plans an MPV model based on the D platform.
