2026 Leapmotor C16: New 5-Seat & 6-Seat Versions with Enhanced Features | Rokay

On June 18th, the2026 Leapmotor C16 was officially launched, offering both range-extended and pure electric powertrains. In addition to the existing 6-seat version, a new 5-seat version has been added, with an official guidance price starting at 151,800 yuan. Moreover, the power and range of the 2026 Leapmotor vehicles have been improved compared to the previous models.

In terms of appearance, the exterior design of the 2026 Leapmotor C16 remains consistent with the existing models. The front of the vehicle features a closed design, equipped with a pulling-through LED light strip. The front bumper has air vents on both sides and a black trim panel at the bottom. The side of the vehicle has a relatively smooth surface, with black high-gloss trim strips around the windows. The door handles have been upgraded to electric hidden handles, which also support a 15 kg ice-breaking thrust.
For the rear part, the 2026 Leapmotor C16 continues to be equipped with a pulling-through light strip, providing privacy glass for the rear seats and rear windshield, as well as a hidden rear wiper. In terms of dimensions, the length, width, and height of the Leapmotor C16 are 4915/1905/1770 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2825 mm, positioning it as a mid-large SUV.
Regarding driving assistance, the 2026 Leapmotor C16 is equipped with a laser radar as a standard feature across the entire series, and it is equipped with 28 driving assistance sensors. It uses the Qualcomm 8650 chip and supports full-scene highway navigation assistance (NAP) and full-scene navigation assistance cruise (NAC) and other driving assistance functions.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Leapmotor C16 continues to feature a 14.6-inch 2.5K floating central control screen, as well as the Qualcomm 8295 chip. It applies the latest Leap 4.0 Plus infotainment system, which adds functions such as 3D car models, voice enhancement, and App applications. The co-driver console area provides wireless phone charging, cup holders, etc. The top-of-the-line model's central armrest box has an added built-in car refrigerator with a volume of 8.1 liters.
Based on the existing 6-seat version, the 2026 Leapmotor C16 has added a 5-seat version. In terms of configuration, the rear seats of the 5-seat version support electric adjustment and a 140-degree reclining angle adjustment. It also comes standard with a 21-speaker PSS audio system, 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound, electric one-key bed mode, trunk movie mode, a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen, a rear central armrest, front/rear seat 10-point massage, driver's lumbar support, and independent rear air conditioning.
The 6-seat version of the 2026 Leapmotor C16 has added Nappa leather seats and massage functions for the first and second rows of seats. The second row of seats has also added a transverse slide rail, with the maximum width of the central passage being 190 mm. The maximum reclining angle of the backrest has been increased from 145 degrees to 155 degrees.
The 2026 Leapmotor C16 continues to offer both pure electric and range-extended power systems. The pure electric model is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 220 kilowatts. The entire series comes standard with a battery pack with a capacity of 81.9 kilowatt-hours, and the CLTC range is 630 kilometers. For comparison, the 2024 Leapmotor C16 pure electric model had a drive motor with a maximum power of 215 kilowatts, matched with battery packs with capacities of 67.7 kilowatt-hours and 74.9 kilowatt-hours, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 520 kilometers and 580 kilometers.
