On July 12, GAC Trumpchi officially launched the M6 MAX Luxury Edition, offering a single, fully-loaded trim. The new compact MPV receives comprehensive upgrades to its exterior, interior and equipment list.
Exterior
The M6 MAX Luxury Edition keeps the current model’s silhouette but adds extra chrome. A large multi-slat grille dominates the front, flanked by LED headlamps that feature triple-L-shaped daytime running lights connected by a chrome strip. Along the sides, bright trim now adorns the C/D pillars, while conventional swing-out second-row doors and 17-inch alloy wheels remain. Dimensions stay at 4 793/1 837/1 765 mm (L/W/H) with a 2 810 mm wheelbase. A full-width LED light bar, subtle roof spoiler and hidden exhaust finish the rear.
Interior & Features
Inside, the dual-screen dashboard and three-spoke steering wheel carry over, complemented by physical shortcut keys beneath the central display. Standard kit includes a sunroof, reversing camera, drive-mode selector, auto-hold and—new for this trim—heated front seats. Compared with the range-topping M6 MAX Premium, the Luxury Edition omits 18-inch wheels, 360° camera, power tailgate and leather upholstery, positioning it as a more accessible variant.
Powertrain
Under the bonnet sits the familiar 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 125 kW net, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
