Exterior

The Audi E7X is available in six exterior colors: Moonlight Black, Liquid Silver, Mist Blue, Titanium Gray, Basalt Beige, and Nebula Purple. Continuing the design language of the E5 Sportback, the vehicle integrates Audi's signature design elements into a commanding SUV stance. The Star Diamond Light Frame draws on the light-and-shadow heritage of Audi's classic large grille, forging a new brand visual signature. The E7X also retains the brand's iconic "ring light surface" design, with an enlarged light ring proportion that, combined with the broad front fascia, creates an even more imposing presence.

The Star Diamond Light Frame supports eight welcome and farewell light sequences, with a total of 1,446 LEDs across the front and rear position lamps participating in dynamic animations. The lighting system supports multi-scenario linked effects and can continuously refresh its light-sequence content via OTA updates, ensuring ongoing novelty and playful engagement. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with million-pixel-grade DLP HD digital projection headlights, supporting light-carpet illumination, following-distance alerts, and automated parking guidance. The "Galaxy" light carpet integrates both high and low beam functions, while the all-weather lights dynamically adjust lighting mode, brightness, and beam range based on conditions such as rain, snow, and fog.

The new vehicle reshapes body proportions with highly expressive lines, where light and shadow flow from the wheel arches toward the shoulder line before tapering upward, delivering a distinctive blend of strength and elegance. Short front and rear overhangs paired with frameless doors further amplify the vehicle's dynamic stance. In detail, the Audi E7X offers 22-inch alloy wheels with "floating wheel center caps," where the AUDI logo remains level with the ground while driving.

Dimensions

In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. All variants come standard with Pirelli P Zero high-performance staggered tires — 255 up front and 285 at the rear — delivering greater rear-axle grip and cornering stability. The vehicle also features Brembo high-performance sport calipers and a one-box integrated braking system, providing a firm yet linear braking feel that effectively suppresses nose-dive and body sway.

Interior

Inside, the Audi E7X is equipped with a 27-inch panoramic widescreen central display and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. The vehicle also features Audi Assistant 2.0 powered by the Doubao LLM, delivering a warmer, more emotionally intelligent interactive experience. The cabin is trimmed in full-grain FeinNappa leather, natural open-pore wood, and Articite microfiber suede, available in four color schemes: Phantom Gray, Quantum Silver, Gilt Bronze, and Ink Rhyme Purple. The driver's seat comes standard with 12-way power adjustment and supports ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The front passenger seat can achieve a zero-gravity reclining position and is equipped with BOSE Performance headrest speakers.

The rear seats feature dual power leg rests, lumbar support, and six-way manual headrests. The leg rests extend to 400 mm and support four-way power adjustment. The range-topping four-seat variant also offers dual zero-gravity executive seats in the rear, with one-touch zero-gravity functionality and four-way power headrests featuring pneumatic angle adjustment plus electric height adjustment. The headrests integrate built-in speakers and illuminated AUDI logos. Rear passengers also enjoy a 21.4-inch QD-MiniLED ceiling-mounted entertainment screen and an 8-inch armrest control screen.

The Audi E7X also features a 2.195 m² panoramic sunroof with five-level adjustable shading. The starlight headliner supports color switching with multiple dynamic modes — including follow, link, breathing, and flowing effects — and can synchronize with music rhythm. The onboard cooler and warmer box supports refrigeration from 0°C to 7°C and warming from 35°C to 50°C. Its lid employs a "power-eject, manual-close" mechanism, includes a lid-open reminder, and supports remote control via the mobile app.

Driver Assistance

On the driver-assistance front, the Audi E7X is equipped with a total of 28 perception sensors, including 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, 1 LiDAR, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 1 high-precision positioning unit. Powered by the NVIDIA Orin X chip with 254 TOPS of computing power, the vehicle also features the Momenta reinforcement learning large model. The E7X is set to become the first production model to carry Momenta's L3 autonomous driving technology. Its driver-assistance system supports full-scenario customizable parking, offering personalized options such as nose-in/reverse-in preference, parking speed adjustment, and parking-spot memory to cater to different user habits and needs. In active safety, the E7X has been further upgraded with new functions including front cross-traffic assist, rear emergency braking, rear cross-traffic collision warning, and static obstacle collision warning.

Chassis

The Audi E7X's chassis adopts an all-aluminum air suspension structure, with lighter suspension components that improve wheel-to-road compliance and enable faster stabilization after bumps. The lightweight design also helps reduce energy consumption and, through reduced inertia, indirectly enhances acceleration and braking performance. The vehicle is also equipped with an intelligent damping hydraulic bushing system that integrates adaptive damping control with variable damping hydraulic technology for real-time road-condition sensing.

The air suspension and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) system support adaptive adjustment of firmness and ride height, with a suspension height adjustment range of 80 mm. The system automatically adjusts based on vehicle speed: at high speeds, the body lowers by 15 mm and damper firmness increases; at low speeds or on rough roads, the body rises and damping softens, balancing capability with comfort. The suspension preview function leverages intelligent driving perception and cockpit navigation to proactively adjust suspension settings, enhancing both handling stability and ride comfort. The Audi E7X also features VGR variable-ratio progressive steering and rear-wheel steering, with a rear steering angle of ±7°, achieving a minimum turning radius of just 5.14 meters.

Powertrain

On the powertrain front, the Audi E7X comes standard with a 900V high-voltage platform across the entire lineup, offering both single-motor and dual-motor variants. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version delivers a maximum output of 300 kW, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version produces a combined output of 500 kW with a peak torque of 800 N·m, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds. For the battery pack, the new vehicle offers two NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) lithium battery options — 100 kWh and 109.3 kWh — delivering various CLTC range figures of 751 km, 705 km, 691 km, 660 km, and 635 km depending on the variant. The E7X supports a peak charging power of up to 456 kW, with just 10 minutes of charging replenishing approximately 57% of the battery and adding up to 429 km of range.

Market Positioning and Strategy

Viewed within the 300,000-yuan-class luxury electric SUV market, the Audi E7X's competitive targets are clearly defined, primarily going head-to-head with the Tesla Model Y, NIO ES6, Mercedes-Benz electric GLC L, and BMW iX3 long-wheelbase version. In comparison, the E7X has no obvious weaknesses. At a competitive price, it brings together class-leading features — extended wheelbase for generous interior space, 900V ultra-fast charging, air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and fully localized intelligent experience — in a single package. The model primarily targets the practical, all-round family and premium business markets.

Previously, Audi and SAIC signed a strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their partnership. The agreement focuses on the full value chain of future Audi models, including the R&D segment — the two parties will establish the Audi Innovation Technology Center in Shanghai. This center will fully empower the new AUDI brand. It is Audi's first overseas intelligent electric technology center globally and also the brand's first full-value-chain localized R&D entity in China. Leveraging the Innovation Technology Center, Audi will apply the latest and most advanced chip technologies to AUDI-branded models. At the same time, the two parties are developing the next-generation ADP (Advanced Digitized Platform), accelerating the deployment of L3 autonomous driving. Based on this next-generation intelligent digital platform, they will jointly develop future AUDI-branded models, with the first batch comprising four models set to enter the Chinese market successively in the coming years.

Taken as a whole, the Audi E7X is not merely a new all-electric SUV — it is a pivotal product in Audi's electrification strategy for China. In recent years, Audi's all-electric models have met with modest market recognition domestically, with many products suffering from conservative configurations, lagging intelligent features, and elevated pricing that failed to align with the needs of Chinese users. The E7X addresses these previous shortcomings. From core EV powertrain technology to the smart cockpit and driver-assistance systems, and across the balance of space, configuration, and pricing, it is far better aligned with China's mainstream consumer market, while also making Audi's electrified product portfolio more complete.

For the brand, the E7X marks Audi's decisive departure from traditional ICE-to-EV conversion approaches, shifting to the development of dedicated all-electric products genuinely tailored to Chinese market demands. It allows Audi to break free from the conventional framework of traditional luxury brands, no longer relying solely on brand premium to attract buyers. At the same time, it appeals to a cohort of younger consumers who value cost-effectiveness and practical features, broadening Audi's user base in the electric vehicle market. Looking ahead, this model is set to become a core pillar for Audi in China's electric vehicle arena, anchoring the brand's position in the premium electric market.
