Recently, we learned from official sources that the 2026 MG MG7 will launch on January 6, 2026, featuring upgraded smart configurations. As a sport-oriented fuel-powered mid-size sedan, the current top-spec MG7 models already offer a 2.0T+9AT powertrain delivering 261 horsepower, along with adjustable electronic suspension and an E-LSD electronic limited-slip differential.
The 2026 MG MG7 prototype has not been revealed yet, but it's expected to retain the exterior design of the 2025 model. The 2025 version features a three-box fastback design with a large blacked-out grille at the front, adaptive three-section electric tailgate, and quad exhaust system. Its flared rear wheel arches create a wide-body visual effect, complemented by conventional door handles and 18"/19" sport alloy wheels. High-spec models include red brake calipers with 245/40 R19 tires.
Interior-wise, the 2025 MG MG7 features a dual-screen dashboard layout with a 10.25" instrument cluster and 12.3" central display. The cabin includes a flat-bottom steering wheel and a yacht-style electronic gear lever. Standard features include the "Dynamic Island" infotainment system, traffic light countdown, P2P memory parking, and MG NGP advanced driver assistance. The 2026 model is expected to enhance these smart features further.
Powertrain details for 2026 remain undisclosed. The 2025 model offers two options: 1.5T+7DCT (188HP/300NM) and 2.0T+9AT (261HP/405NM). Both variants include variable steering ratio, E-LSD, and mCDC adjustable electronic suspension.
