2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Launch | Export News | Rokay Car Export Services

Recently, we learned from Mercedes-Benz that the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has officially been launched, offering five different variants. As a regular annual update, the 2026 S-Class introduces a brand-new entry-level model — the S 400 L Special Edition, while the price of the S 450 L 4MATIC model has been adjusted downward.

At present, there are no real-vehicle images of the 2026 S-Class, but it is expected that its exterior design will remain unchanged. The top and sub-top trims are equipped with AMG Sport packages. According to configuration information, the body size of the 2026 S-Class remains the same, measuring 5290 (5320) / 1921 / 1503 mm with a wheelbase of 3216 mm. Buyers can choose between 19-inch or 20-inch wheels.

The interior design of the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is also expected to follow that of the previous model. The front cabin features an augmented-reality Head-Up Display, a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, and a 12.8-inch OLED central touchscreen, which can be linked with a 7-inch MBUX rear tablet and dual 11.6-inch rear entertainment screens for multi-screen interaction. The multi-zone “intelligent voice assistant” supports voice commands from rear passengers.

As the new entry-level model, the 2026 S 400 L Special Edition removes some configurations compared with the original S 400 L Business model, such as the intelligent rear air conditioning, Smog Eliminator 3.0, interior air adjustment system, active ambient lighting, intelligent sensing assistant, wireless charging for rear mobile devices, adaptive rear lighting system, and the MBUX rear tablet.

For the 2026 S 450 L 4MATIC, this year’s update cancels the remote parking system, adds standard active ambient lighting, makes the MBUX high-end rear entertainment system optional rather than standard, and removes the intelligent sensing assistant option.

In terms of power, both the S 400 L and S 450 L use a 2.5T inline-six engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, delivering 230 kW and 270 kW of maximum power respectively, and 450 N·m and 500 N·m of peak torque. The S 500 L 4MATIC is equipped with a 3.0T inline-six engine plus a 48V mild hybrid system, producing 330 kW and 560 N·m. All versions are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
