In this edition, we bring you the new car previews for the week of June 22–28, 2026. This week will see multiple highly anticipated new vehicles hitting the market through official launches, pre-sales, and global debuts — including the Denza N8L Flash Charge Edition, the All-New Li Auto L8, the Leapmotor D99, the FAW-Volkswagen Magotan PHEV / Tayron L PHEV, the Jetour Freedomer 7 Plus / New Shanhai T1 AWD Edition, and the New M-Hero M817, among others. All-New Li Auto L8

The all-new Li Auto L8 draws its overall design language from the all-new Li Auto L9 and will be offered in two trim levels: Ultra and Livis. The vehicle adopts a completely new design style, featuring a star-ring full-width LED light bar paired with a redesigned air intake. Additionally, a two-tone body option is available to meet customers' growing demand for personalization.

From the side profile, the car showcases new semi-concealed door handles and fresh alloy wheel designs. It will also come equipped with capacitive anti-pinch electric doors, with optional electric retractable running boards and an electric retractable tow hitch.

Dimensions: 5,135 × 2,000 × 1,800 mm (L × W × H), with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm.

Interior

The interior eliminates the instrument cluster on the steering wheel, replacing it with a 29-inch bezel-less 6K panoramic screen spanning the center console and front passenger area. The Livis variant is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Elite flagship chip. The entire cabin is outfitted with a 27-speaker, 4,720W Star-Ring Theater audio system.

Advanced Driver Assistance

• Ultra Version: 1,280 TOPS computing power, equipped with 1 LiDAR sensor
• Livis Version: Dual Mach M100 chips delivering a total of 2,560 TOPS, equipped with 4 LiDAR sensors

Powertrain

The all-new Li Auto L8 is powered by a newly self-developed 1.5T range extender producing a maximum output of 115 kW. The front and rear dual electric motors deliver maximum outputs of 145 kW and 275 kW, respectively, for a combined system output of 420 kW.

All variants are equipped with a 72.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, delivering:

• CLTC pure electric range: 430 km
• CLTC combined range: 1,670 km
• WLTC charge-depleted fuel consumption: 6.2 L/100 km (Ultra) / 6.3 L/100 km (Livis)

Chassis

The new model features a front double-wishbone / rear five-link independent suspension. The Ultra version is equipped with a wire-controlled Magic Carpet chassis, including dual-valve continuously variable damping shock absorbers, dual-chamber air springs, wire-controlled steering, and rear-wheel steering. The Livis version further upgrades to an 800V active suspension and EMB (Electro-Mechanical Brake) wire-controlled braking system.

Leapmotor D99

Built on the Leapmotor D Platform, the D99 adopts the brand's Tech-Natural Aesthetics 2.0 design philosophy, with a streamlined body that balances low drag coefficient with generous interior space.

Dimensions: 5,280 × 1,995 × 1,880 mm (L × W × H), with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm.

Key exterior features include million-pixel DLP projection headlights, active grille shutters, a rear ISD interactive light panel, and concealed door handles.

Advanced Driver Assistance

The D99 is equipped with LiDAR sensors, a VLA (Vision-Language-Action) large-model ADAS, and dual Qualcomm 8797 chips delivering 1,280 TOPS of total computing power. It also supports active AES (Autonomous Emergency Steering) avoidance.

Interior

The cabin features a dual-layer wraparound cockpit design with multiple premium color options and a 3.9-meter ambient light ring. The vehicle incorporates a five-screen, three-dimensional interaction system, including:

• 50-inch AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display)
• 17.3-inch center display
• 21.4-inch 3K adjustable rear entertainment screen

The infotainment system runs Leapmotor OS with an AI Home Butler assistant and supports six-zone voice interaction. The cabin offers 43 storage compartments, and the trunk capacity expands from 706 L to 2,890 L — maximizing practicality.

Powertrain

The Leapmotor D99 is available in EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle) and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) variants:

EREV Version:

• 1.5T range extender
• Dual-motor combined output: 300 kW
• CLTC pure electric range: 480 km
• Supports 800V high-voltage platform

BEV Version:

• Front / rear motor outputs: 180 kW / 230 kW
• CLTC combined range: 700 km

Denza N8L Flash Charge Edition

The Denza N8L Flash Charge Edition continues the brand's signature family design — a closed grille for the pure-electric front end paired with a full-width matrix LED daytime running light strip and split headlamps that broaden the visual stance. The overall presence is commanding.

The side profile features clean, straight lines with concealed water-cut trim to reduce high-speed wind noise. A new exclusive Danxia Ink Red & Black two-tone paint scheme is introduced, with standard 20-inch sport wheels and an optional 21-inch aerodynamic wheel on higher trims — significantly boosting its luxury appeal.

Dimensions: 5,200 × 1,999 × 1,820 mm (L × W × H), with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm.

Flash Charge Core Upgrades

The Flash Charge Edition is built around an 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform paired with a 75.26 kWh second-generation Blade Battery. The powertrain combines a 2.0T plug-in hybrid dedicated engine with a three-motor PHEV system:

• Engine maximum output: 152 kW
• Combined system output: 560 kW
• CLTC pure electric range: 430 km
• CLTC combined range: 1,550 km

Using BYD's proprietary flash charging stations:

• 10%–70% charge in just 5 minutes — adding approximately 150 km of pure electric range per session
• 10%–97% full charge in only 9 minutes
• Even in extreme cold conditions (−30°C), charging time increases by only 3 minutes
